Kirk Sandall Junior School

About Us

The Committee:

Chair:  Sarah Marshall-Dungworth
Vice Chair:  Shelley Vaughan
Treasurer:  Albert Stringfellow
Secretary:  Rita Rees
Staff Rep:  Mrs Addy

About us:

As the name implies, we are 'friends' of the school and our aim is, initially, to raise funds for the school but also to help our pupils have an enjoyable experience during their time at this school.

We organise events which we hope will be enjoyed by pupils, their family and friends and the local community.

We hold several events, the main one being the Summer Fayre which is a joint venture with our Infant School.  Other events include:
  • Pupils' Discos
  • Family Fun Nights
  • Car Boot Sales
  • Community Bingo Sessions
Although we organise such events they would not be successful without the help and support of you all, for which we are extremely grateful.

We also provide support for school run events and you will usually find some of us providing refreshments and helping out whenever it is needed.

We meet regularly to discuss future events and are always pleased to consider new ideas so if you have any suggestions then please let us know.  If you would like to be more involved you are welcome to come along to any of the meetings or if you are able to help at any of the events just inform one of the members or your child's class teacher.

We hope you will come along and enjoy as many of the events as you can and help us raise funds for your child's school.
