Enjoying who we are, learning what we can be...
Our vision is to create a happy, welcoming, safe and stimulating learning community where everyone is included and respected. As a school we value the importance of developing effective learning behaviours which include resilience, determination and collaboration. We work together to inspire and challenge all children so they become healthy, motivated life-long learners who have the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
Our whole school community is committed to working together as a team and in partnership with the Infant School to achieve our vision for Kirk Sandall Junior School.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents, the community and outside agencies to provide high quality learning experiences and a child-centred and stimulating environment.
Our school is a place where differences and cultures are celebrated. Where positive attitudes are promoted so children are globally aware and well prepared to take their place in an ever-changing technological, multi-cultural society as caring, responsible individuals.

The new school website looks great. Thank you Miss Griffiths for investing your time to assist the Junior School. Good to see that it's continuing to be regularly updated.
Looks fantastic, same look and feel as the infant school. Much more intuitive to use.
Great new website with links that make information easy to find!
This site is fantastic now! I stopped trying to use the old site as it was never upto date and so frustrating as the links never worked! I will definitely be using this site more now. I am so pleased you have finally chosen to improve it.
Good morning I would like to say a massive well done to your year 4 boys on their inter-school tournament win. They displayed true sportsmanlike behaviour and played fantastically. As parents, we are very proud!
Hi Mr Bagnall Just a quick email to thank all the teachers and particularly the year six staff for all the extra help they gave the children in preparation for the SATS. I think it was a lovely to organise the breakfast club for SATS week, I know that Gabriella really enjoyed it. I also know Miss Wilson handed out biscuits after the tests each day which as you can appreciate went down well. Plus what a great idea to surprise them with the bouncy castle and the Paddington DVD on Friday as a treat. I have to say I don’t really like it that pressure that is put on ten and eleven year old children with the tests, however I appreciate that they have to be done. Once again just a big thank you to all the staff for going above and beyond their role as class teachers to support the children at this time.
